77 Cases Of Divorce Occurred In Bandar Lampung Only 5 DAYS Since The Change In 2023

A total of 77 divorce cases were submitted to the Tanjungkarang Class 1A Religious Court (PA), Bandar Lampung City just six days after the turn of the year to 2023.

"Based on data that came in from Sunday to Thursday (January 5), 77 residents have filed for divorce," said PA Tanjungkarang Class 1A spokesman KM Junaidi in Bandar Lampung, Friday, January 6.

He said that of the 77 divorce files that came in, they were dominated by a divorce suit with 57 case submissions and the remaining 20 divorce proposals by the public.

Junaidi added that the cause of the divorce proposal so far is mostly due to the factors that are not supported or irresponsible about living problems, because the husband does not have a job.

"The number of details of how many were divorced due to economic factors in January 2023, we are still recapitulating because it is still ongoing," he said, quoted by Antara.

According to him, the figures at the beginning of the month in 2023 may still increase considering that in January 2022 there were 274 divorce cases that went to the Tanjungkarang Religious Court.

"In January 2022 there were 274 divorce applications with details of 217 divorces and 57 divorces. Meanwhile, in January 2021 there were 150 divorce cases entering, of which 118 were divorced and the remaining 32 were divorced," he said.

His party always makes mediation efforts first to both parties as required by the Supreme Court before granting their divorce requests.

"The mediation between the two parties is required by the Supreme Court, not just once, even repeatedly, this is an effort so that they do not separate. However, it is not uncommon in the mediation process that one party does not wish to continue the mediation and chooses to remain divorced," he said.
