TheFFected Tsunami Hoax After The Melanda Earthquake, 2,200 Jayapura Residents Had EViled Into The Doc IX Area
JAYAPURA - Jayapura City BPBD Head Asep Khalid admitted that due to the outbreak of the tsunami issue, around 2,200 residents fled to a number of offices and areas in Doc IX Jayapura."Residents who fled mostly live on the outskirts of the coast both in North Jayapura District and South Jayapura District," said Asep Khalid, Antara, Wednesday, January 4.Admittedly, Wednesday morning the displaced residents had returned to their homes. However, Asep asked residents to remain vigilant because until now the earthquake was still happening with varying strengths.Jayapura City and its surroundings since Monday morning have been hit by an earthquake. As of Wednesday today at around 13.21 WIT, there were 281 aftershocks."The locations that are refugee camps are scattered in Dok IX, namely the courtyard of the Social Service, Trade Service and Education Office as well as the courtyard of the BPN Papua Office," said Asep.Admittedly, his party in collaboration with BPBD Papua and Polresta Jayapura City continues to urge the public not to be easily consumed by issues but remain vigilant because aftershocks are still happening."Don't believe the information circulating regarding the tsunami, but monitor the information issued by the BMKG through its official website," hoped the Head of BPBD Jayapura City.
