Unexpectedly, Lionel Messi Ever Send Christmas Prizes To 160 Goalkeepers Who Become Victims Of Goals
JAKARTA - Lionel Messi is apparently not only famous for his many achievements on the field. This Argentine national player also has a generous attitude.
This is evident from the decisions Messi made against his opponents. La Pulga is known not to hesitate to send gifts to the people he has faced.
Quoted from Sportskeeda, Wednesday, December 28, La Pulga sent gifts to 160 goalkeepers ahead of Christmas 2020, that number included 13 goalkeepers from the Premier League.
Messi's gift came to light after he reached a milestone by scoring his 644th goal for Barcelona. That feat saw him surpass Pele's record for Santos.
To celebrate this achievement, Messi, who partnered with beverage producer Budweiser, gave 160 beer bottles personalized to the 160 goalkeepers he'd broken since 2005.
Among the Premier League players, who were prize recipients were David de Gea, Hugo Lloris, Edwin van der Sar, Petr Cech, Joe Hart, Alisson, Fraser Forster, Willy Caballero, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Bernd Leno, Vicente Guaita, Adrian, and Matt Ryan.
Another famous goalkeeper who received a gift from Messi was Diego Alves, previously from Valencia. Alves received 21 bottles of beer, the amount he received was the highest of all goalkeepers.
Real Madrid legends Iker Casillas and Thibaut Courtois also received 17 and 9 bottles each. Receiving a prize from the seven-time Ballon d'Or title winner is certainly a dream come true for the players.
