Residents Of Pulo Village Who Were Affected By The Fire Were Evacuated To The Hall Of The West Jatinegara Flats

Dozens of residents of Pulo Village who were affected by the fire took refuge in the hall of the West Jatinegara Flat, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Monday, December 26.

"Currently, the affected residents are temporarily placed in the West Jatinegara Flats. There are no tents, because the residents affected by the fire are placed in the flat hall," said Head of the East Jakarta Social Service Sub-dept. (Kasudinsos), Purwono when confirmed by VOI, Monday, December 26.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta's Social Service has not yet made refugee tents for fire victims. Purwono said, posts and refugee tents are usually formed by the local RT or RW.

In addition, fire victims have also received social assistance. The East Jakarta Social Service (Sudinsos) has also provided a number of assistance to the displaced victims who were affected by the fire on Sunday, December 25.

The assistance was in the form of 12 tenths, 3 dozen baby diapers, 24 towels, 24 adult pampers packs, 10 packs of baby pampers, 20 pairs of sandals, 1 dozen child shirts, 30 adult t-shirts, 2 baby blankets, 30 negligee and 30 mukena and various other types of underwear.

"3 boxes of biscuits, 40 sarongs, 200 boxes of ready-to-eat food, 200 bottles of mineral water and 40 sheets of blankets have also been provided," he said.

The distribution of aid was handed over to the West Jatinegara Flat, Jalan Jatinegara Barat, RT 10/01, Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara District by East Jakarta Disaster Preparedness Social officers to the head of the local RT/RW and residents.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 50 heads of families (KK) consisted of 128 people were forced to flee in evacuation emergency tents.

The 50 families fled after their residences located in Pulo Village, RT 12/02 and RT 13/04, Kampung Melayu Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta were destroyed by fire on Christmas 2022, Sunday, December 25, afternoon.

Almost all of the property of hundreds of residents burned down without any remains. The cause of the fire is also not certain. However, from the results of the data collection, the fire burned 10 houses that were built permanently.
