Jokowi Jajal Took The LRT From Cibubur Station To TMII: As Long As 12 Kilometers 12 Minutes
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) tested the Integrated Rail Rail Transit (LRT) train from and to East Jakarta. Jokowi boarded from Harjamukti Cibubur Station, to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah Station (TMII), Monday 26 December.
President Jokowi said the domestically made train was very fast and was capable of traveling without a driver. He said this when he boarded the LRT train at the TMII LRT Station.
"Trying the LRT from Harjamukti Station to Taman Mini Station is nine kilometers long and is taken within 12 minutes," said Jokowi, confiscated by Antara.
Jokowi is proud that BUMN PT INKA Persero can build an LRT train with a capacity of 420 passengers and has an advanced system capable of operating without a driver.
The President hopes that the LRT train project from Cibubur that crosses TMII can operate immediately in June or July 2023 so that it coincides with the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail project.
"Still, this is only 87 percent finished, indeed only 87 percent. There is still a depot that must be resolved and small things related to system synchronization, which I saw earlier," he said.
The LRT line that crosses Cibubur and TMII is known to be the Cibubur Traffic LRT line.
President Jokowi gave an evaluation that the LRT project in DKI Jakarta and a number of buffer cities is comfortable, fast, and not noisy.
"I think when I turned there was a very small sound," he said.
