Christmas Is A Christian Momentum To Contribute To Community Life
JAKARTA - The leader of the Holy Heart of Jesus Church in Surabaya, Pesturgan Triwidya Tjahja Utama, said that the 2022 Christmas Day is a momentum for Christians to contribute more to social life.
"We are reminded that we are part of the community so we need to make a good contribution," said the man who is familiarly called Father Tomi in Surabaya, quoted from ANTARA, Sunday, December 25.
Father Tomi admitted that he was very happy to receive a visit from the East Java Forkopimda to ensure safety during Christmas services.
"We are very happy that the governor has taken the time to visit us. For that we ask Christians to be present in people's lives," he said.
Father Tomi, as he is known, said that his party is very ready to carry out Christmas services, especially since it has been assisted by security from the police, TNI, Banser and elements of society.
"We are very ready to carry out mass, especially assisted by the police, TNI Banser and all elements. So far we have always been smooth in carrying out Christmas Day," he said.
He revealed that there were two Christmas Mass services held at his church tonight. Meanwhile, the next day there were five worship services.
"Tonight there are two, namely 18.00 and 21.00. Tomorrow there will be five prayers starting from 06.00 then at 08.00 then at 10.00, then at 16.30 and 18.30. For this Christmas Mass tonight, 3,500 congregations will attend," he said.
