Check Out Computer Protection Tips From Kaspersky-style CryWiper Trojans
JAKARTA - Kaspersky discovered a new Trojan called CryWiper, awiper-deleting malware that made the files he had modified unable to return to their original state.
Malware focuses on databases, archives and user documents. While not yet aware of the clear purpose of this malware, Kaspersky believes its main goal is not financial gain.
"Perhaps with such deactivation, malware writers are trying to complicate the work of incident response teams, who prefer to have remote access to affected machines, but instead they should get physical access to them," Kaspersky said in a statement received on Tuesday, December 20.
The current cryWiper targets only people in Russia. Even so, there is nothing wrong if we continue to protect ourselves from this malware.
