Comic Panji Is Adapted Becomes An Animated Film Set In The 15th Century

JAKARTA - Hans Jaladara's comic was adapted into the film Panji Kutul. This film tells the story of the fictional world of the early 15th century, an attrition war is raging. A warrior named PANJI did not find peace even though he had defended his wife's death.

He tried to end his life, but his black magic stopped him. Panji luntung ventured around until he met BRAMANTYA, who offered him a way out of a life full of regret. Bramantya, the older brother of the NAGAMAS (Panji teacher), asked Panji to find LEMBUGIRI, his younger brother who was kidnapped by KALAWERENG bandits who also seized the Adidaya Heritage, a mythological weapon that had the power to lift the curse of Panji.

Together with KUWUK, a coward soldier, and GANTARI, an innocent warrior girl, Panji followed Bramantya into the Kalawereng power forest. Thanks to Kuwuk's direction, they arrived at the location where Lembugiri was ambushed. However, Kalawereng has been waiting. At that time, Bramantya was stabbed by Lembugiri and turned out to have faked her death to seize the heirloom key.

The four realized that they had to save the world from the abuse of the heirloom by Lembugiri who intended to use the Adidaya heirloom to stop the war and become the sole ruler. Senior actor Donny Damara hopes that the Panji film can be a trigger for Indonesian animated films to develop even more rapidly. "This is my first strangulation. It turns out that it is not easy to make animated films. Hopefully, through Panji's film, it will trigger filmmakers to produce more animated films," he explained.

Meanwhile, Aghniny Haque admitted that he needed more preparation to get involved in the Panji film. "It's fun, the most important preparation for me is voting. The difficulty is that we have to imagine what kind of character we play, then our voices get into trouble," he explained.
