Anticipate The Jump In Energy Consumption, Pertamina For The Form Of The Christmas And New Year's Task Force

PT Pertamina (Persero) anticipates the movement of millions of travelers who want to celebrate Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 by forming a Nataru Task Force involving all company operational lines.

Pertamina's Logistics and Infrastructure Director Erry Widiastono said Pertamina had formed a task force that worked from 15 December 2022 to 8 January 2023 involving Pertamina Holding-Subholding Teams and related agencies including KESDM, Ministry of Transportation, BPH Migas, Police, Jasa Marga, TNI, and PT Telkom Indonesia.

"Energy consumption is predicted to increase due to increased community mobility ahead of and after the Christmas and New Year celebrations. For this reason, Pertamina has prepared additional supplies and services to serve the energy needs of the community," he said, quoted on Friday, December 16.

To ensure the company's operational process during the Christmas and New Year period, said Erry, Pertamina's management will carry out monitoring through the Integrated Enterprise Data & Command Center (IEDCC) which is a center of information on energy distribution ranging from Upstream, Refinery, Shipships, Fuel Terminal to gas stations. Through this Command Center, gas station CCTV and critical stock at gas stations can be monitored and can be the main priority of fuel delivery.

"Monitoring is carried out digitally and officers will be alerted for 24 hours to anticipate the movement of energy consumption in each Nusantara region," added Erry.

Erry explained that currently the availability of fuel and LPG is safe and all infrastructure has been alerted ahead of the Nataru celebration. Pertamina's infrastructure readiness includes 114 fuel terminals, 23 LPG terminals, more than 7,400 gas stations, 667 SPBE, 4,972 LPG agents, and 68 DPPU.

Erry said, for this year, Pertamina has increased the availability of fuel and LPG stocks to anticipate a surge in demand. Pertalite increased by about 4.5 percent, Pertamax rose 2.9 percent, Pertamax Turbo rose 18 percent, Dexlite rose 3 percent, Pertamina Dex rose 1.3 percent.

For LPG, an increase of 2.5 percent was also carried out, while Avtur also increased 6.5 percent.

In addition, said Erry, to ensure that services to the community are well maintained, Pertamina also provides supporting energy services on potential lines including toll lines, tourist routes, and main routes, in the form of Alert gas stations, Alert LPG Agents & outlets, Pertamina Siaga Kiosk, Motorist, stand-by tankers, and health facilities.

"We ensure that all Sarfas are functioning properly, and have even provided additional facilities to provide excellent service to people who want to take a vacation and celebrate Christmas and the 2023 New Year," said Erry.

Erry added, in addition to providing and serving energy to the community, he also asked the Pertamina Task Force team to also pay attention to safety and security aspects.

"Please really maintain the safety aspect and don't let unwanted things happen. How do we maintain our infrastructure, facilities and obvitnas in terms of security," concluded Erry.
