Julian Alvarez Promises To Bring The 2022 World Cup Trophy To Argentina

JAKARTA - The Argentine national team managed to advance to the final round after repatriating Croatia. Seeing his team's struggle so far, Julian Alvarez promised to win the 2022 World Cup trophy.

In the semifinal match against Croatia, Wednesday, December 14 in the morning, Albiceleste won 3-0 against an opponent who was no less tough. Lionel Messi opened the victory and finished with Alvarez's brace in the 39th and 69th minutes.

Playing an important role in the win, Alvarez realized his team was on the right track with their target of chasing a final ticket.

However, for Alvarez, the struggle has not been completed because his team's biggest hope is to bring home the 2022 World Cup trophy to Argentina.

With a target that is only one step away, he revealed his promise to appear harder in order to bring home the dream of the team and all Argentine citizens.

"We (the Argentine national team) deserve to reach the final, we played a really great game today. This goal is what we want," Alvarez said.

"We are all very happy with what we have achieved together. But I promise to give more because we want the World Cup," he said.

Later, Argentina will clash with the winner of the duel between France vs Morocco. In a win over Croatia, Alvarez set a proud record.

Alvarez became the second Argentine national team player to score four goals in a World Cup edition at the age of 22, after Gonzalo Higua Met in 2010.

The 2022 World Cup final could be a revenge event for the Argentine national team. The reason is that in 2014, they failed to become champions after being defeated by Germany with a score of 0-1.
