Watch The Implementation Of Buildings Affected By The Cianjur Earthquake, The Ministry Of PUPR Sends 208 CPNS As A Facilitator

JAKARTA - In order to accelerate the handling of earthquake disasters in Cianjur, West Java, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has assigned 208 CPNS for the 2021 Formation as a facilitator team or support staff for the earthquake disaster management task force in Cianjur phase I. This task will last for 5 months.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the impact of the damage from the 5.6 magnitude earthquake was quite massive, especially for houses classified as non-engineering hoaxes.

For 3,993 housing units located in the active fault area of Cugenang, the Ministry of PUPR will relocate the land that has been prepared by the local government.

Currently, the Ministry of PUPR is building 80 permanent housing units using the method of a Healthy Simple Stay (RISHA) which is targeted to be completed by the end of December 2022.

The rest, for houses in other areas that are also affected by the earthquake, the Indonesian government will provide cash assistance of Rp. 60 million for the community to build their homes independently.

In accordance with the President's mandate, the Ministry of PUPR will be tasked with carrying out technical assistance in the construction of the house.

"It is your job to help, supervise, and assist victims in the construction of the house. As assigned by the President, the Ministry of PUPR will play a role in technical assistance," Basuki said at the Opening of the Technical Assistance Training for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Post-Earthquake Disaster Cianjur, at the Ministry of PUPR, Wednesday, December 14.

He also emphasized that the CPNS of the Ministry of PUPR who are on duty must be strong and competent, and always maintain the credibility of the Ministry of PUPR.

"You go because you are competent and know better from the public what earthquake-resistant houses are. If later the construction does not meet the technical specifications, you have to say no. Your job must be to direct it according to technical specifications, keep the credibility of PUPR that is your responsibility in the field," said Basuki.

Basuki also advised the CPNS on duty to always implement the working principles of the Ministry of PUPR.

"Once again, carry out this task sincerely. There, we help people with the spirit of PUPR to work hard, move quickly, and act appropriately, this is the task of PUPR humanity," he said.

To provide briefing to CPNS on duty, the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of PUPR held a Technical Assistance Training for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction after the Earthquake Disaster in Cianjur for three days, starting from 14-16 December 2022 at the PUPR Ministry Auditorium.

The training was given to 50 CPNS from the Directorate General of Water Resources, Directorate General of Highways, Directorate General of Human Settlements, 30 CPNS from the Directorate General of Housing, 20 CPNS from the Directorate General of Construction, and eight CPNS from the Secretariat General.
