Reject The Spokesperson For Foreign Exchange Celebrities, Rivaldo: Not Respecting Brazil's Coach
JAKARTA - Topics of who will lead Brazil after the 2022 World Cup is hotly debated. While players like Ronaldo Nazario welcomed the possibility of foreign coaches taking over Selecao, Rivaldo opposed the idea.
The former Barcelona player and AC Milan took to social media to voice their tidiness and offer a list of local coaches to lead the Selecao.
"I don't agree and I don't think employing foreign coaches for our team doesn't respect the Brazilian coach," Rivaldo said in his post.
"I think we have a coach who can lead the Brazilian team at the moment and do a good job, such as: Rogerio Cenni, Fernando Diniz, Cuca, Renato Gaucho, and Dorival Jr."
The former Brazil international also stated that hiring a foreign coach will not guarantee future success, although many are eligible to lead the national team.
" BRINGing in foreign coaches doesn't mean we will become world champions," Rivaldo continued.
Mainly because, if that is certainty, I think a foreign coach wants to become world champion for his country and make his nation happy. His team needed him more than Brazil, because only we won five times.
"Without a doubt, foreigners are also very good coaches, but the Selecao belongs to us, belongs to the nation, and must be run by someone who has Brazilian blood flowing in their pulse.
"The most important thing is that the players, we have to help them, cheer them on, and give them confidence... because we have a good generation on the journey and basis of experience with the Brazilian jersey.
"The World Cup is a brief tournament and you win or lose in small details, and it will always happen to any team with any coach. It's just my humble opinion."
