Jalin Sinergi Transformasi Digital Dengan Bank Daerah, BNI Incar Peneterasi Ke Pasar Global
PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI strengthened its synergy with various Regional Development Banks (BPD) at the BNI-BPD Synergy Gathering 2022 event on 8-9 December 2022 in Nusa Dua, Bali.
By carrying the theme "Synergy to Accelerate Digital Transformation and Global Market Penetration", BNI puts forward the goal of synergy to strengthen digital financial service innovation, especially accelerating digital transformation to provide digital financial services for BPD customers and together build regional ecosystems with more efficient investments and support BPD for business penetration into the global market.
President Director of BNI Royke Tumilaar said that increasing digital transformation in the banking sector is very necessary to work on various opportunities and be able to answer current challenges, both through economic digitization and global interconnectivity, one of which is related to cross-border payment systems. BNI as one of the 10 companies with the largest market capitalization is currently very open to carry out various collaborations. In the third quarter of 2022 BNI recorded operational income before the Pre-Provision Operating Profit (PPOP) of Rp25.8 trillion or total assets of Rp943.6 trillion. Currently, BNI is seen to be aggressively establishing synergies and collaborations with various BPDs in almost all of Indonesia. So far, BNI has collaborated with several BPDs in network expansion, including Bank Sumut, Bank Jateng, Bank Papua, BPD Bali, Bank Jateng, Bank North Java, Bank Kaltimtara Bank, Bank Kaltimtara, Bank Kalbar, Bank Bengkulu, Bank Nagari, Bank DKI, and Bank NTB Syariah. BNI has actually long collaborated with various BPDs, especially in terms of capacity building and treasury cooperation such as money market line. This synergy, which we later expanded and enriched with a variety of more comprehensive financial solutions from BNI groups including our child companies," said Royke in his statement, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 13. For this reason, he said that BNI synergy with BPD can optimize the long-standing cooperation with the spirit of accelerating digital transformation and strengthening penetration into the global market. BNI synergy with BPD in general includes cooperation in products and services for consumer banking, business banking and treasury, as well as other capabilities improvements.
On the same occasion, Deputy Senior Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Destry Damayanti said, the adaptation of the Indonesian people to the current development of digitalization is increasing and will directly open up opportunities for economic growth. "Indonesia's digital financial economy will grow and increase to reach 360 billion US dollars by 2030. This high number is strengthened by high internet penetration and the even more equitable digital consumers, not only residents of big cities but starting to enter local residents. Indonesia is expected to grow by an average of 22 percent per year," said Destry. On the same occasion, Deputy Commissioner for Banking Supervision III of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Slamet Edy Purnomo revealed the importance of BPD strengthening collaboration with commercial banks as is being done by BNI, among others, to be able to optimize the potential of the digital economy in the regions.
