Action Demo In Front Of SDN 1 Pondok Cina Due To Congestion

DEPOK The rejection of the demolition of SDN 1 Pondok Cina, Depok is still continuing today. Reportedly, Monday 12 December morning before noon, at around 9 am, a number of people held a demonstration in front of SDN 1 Pondok Cina. The demonstration is a form of rejection of the Depok City Government's plan to dismantle the school to be used as a mosque.

As a result of the demonstration, Jalan Margonda Raya experienced a long traffic jam. From Lenteng Agung to Citayam there was a traffic jam. Even in the opposite direction, the queues of cars and motorbikes passing on the road snaked.

"Very congested, there was a demonstration", said Ary, one of the road users who was crossing Jalan Margonda, when contacted by VOI, Monday, December 12.

He said that the traffic jam was due to a demonstration in front of SDN 1 Pondok Cina. But he did not see any banners in the action.

Previously, Sunday, December 11, the Depok City Satpol PP planned to execute SDN 1 Pondok Cina. However, that afternoon a number of women took part in the trial. The refusal by the parents of the students made the officers finally cancel the demolition plan.
