Big Influence In Indonesia, Moeldoko Diundang At The National Prayers Breakfast Washington
Presidential Chief of Staff Dr. Moeldoko is one of the world's important figures invited to attend the prestigious annual National Prayers Breakfast event in Washington, DC, United States, in February 2023.
The National Prayers Breakfast (NPB) itself is a forum of high-ranking officials that has existed since 1953, namely since the reign of US President
In addition to members of Congress, members of the Cabinet, and the US diplomatic corps, all US Presidents are also present at the NPB event every year. Even the big names of the world such as the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, King Abdullah of Jordan and Former Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla were also recorded to have attended the banquet that morning.
We came to Indonesia to invite the Presidential Chief of Staff to attend the February NPB event next year in Washington. This is not an economic meeting, not a political meeting, not a religious meeting, this is a friendly meeting between all world leaders that together solve big problems," said Steve Savelich, one of Washington's NPB representatives.
In the brief meeting at the Bina Graha Building, Jakarta, Thursday (8/12), Moeldoko expressed a positive response to this invitation and appreciated the NPB's efforts to bridge world peace which had been carried out for almost 70 years.
NPB is a group of people who sew countries in the world into one unit within the framework of friendship. This is a very big and noble thing. Of course, I responded positively to this invitation and I tried to attend," said the retired TNI Commander.
In his work as the highest leader of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), Moeldoko has indeed produced several policy breakthroughs on strategic issues and debottlenecking efforts to hinder national priority programs.
Some of Moeldoko's leadership achievements include escorting and accelerating empowerment programs for agrarian reform, overseeing the ratification of the Law on the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS Law), helping to initiate and oversee transformation programs towards new and renewable energy through the use of electric vehicles, and fully supporting the development of the sorghum food alternative ecosystem in anticipating future food crises.
