Riau Police Prevents Circulation Of 800 Kg Of Sabu Over The Last 11 Months

KEPRI - As many as 800 kilograms of methamphetamine-type narcotics were secured by the Riau Regional Police (Polda) in the last 11 months.

"During my 11 months on duty, we revealed nearly 800 kilograms of drugs. That is a fantastic amount," said Riau Police Chief Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal during a conference on the disclosure of narcotics and illegal drugs at the Riau Police Headquarters, Tuesday, December 6, which was confiscated by Antara.

Inspector General Iqbal stated that drugs were the trigger for security vulnerabilities so that many crimes occurred because of the users of these items.

He reminded not to play games because the police will take firm action against anyone involved in drug trafficking. "If someone is proven to be involved, I will take firm action," he said.

In the disclosure of drug trafficking in Bumi Lancang Kuning over the past 11 months, 12 people have been named suspects.

The Riau Police have again revealed drug trafficking in Bumi Lancang Kuning with 12 suspects. Unmitigated, 91 kilograms of methamphetamine and 25 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves were uncovered in three arrest locations.

The first incident took place on Jalan Perawang-Siaak, TKP two on Jalan Sungai Pakning, Bengkalis-Dumai and disclosure at the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Gate.

The first crime scene was secured 81 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in 78 packages stored in four sacks which were placed in the trunk of the car. Then at the second TKP, it was found that 10 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were brought in two backpacks to Pekanbaru using a motorcycle.

Finally, at TKP three there were 25 kilograms of marijuana at the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll exit, on Tuesday 15 October from a bus from Aceh to Pekanbaru.
