Pondok Melati District Feels Special, 2 Homes For Repair Assistance For The Bekasi City Government Rp27.5 Million

BEKASI - The Bekasi City Government (Pemkot) repaired two residents' houses through an assistance program to repair uninhabitable houses or Rutilahu which was centered in the Pondok Melati sub-district.

The two housing units belonged to Zainal in RT 001/017 Jati Rahayu Village and belong to Septian in RT 006/013 Jati Rahayu Village, Pondok Melati District. The disbursement amounted to Rp27,500,000.

"Collaborating with West Java Moving Bekasi City Keren and related elements, this routine repair activity is to realize the fulfillment of livable houses, realizing a prosperous Bekasi City community," said Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto, Sunday, December 4, as reported by Antara.

He said this assistance was the commitment of the Bekasi City Government to realize the welfare of the community, according to the 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), which increased the quality of 1.5 million uninhabitable houses.

"In general, this assistance is given to improve the welfare of the community while at the same time reducing social and health problems through livable houses," he said.

Tri said that the provision of this assistance was to help ease the burden on the underprivileged in meeting the needs of livable houses, creating healthy and clean family homes, and fostering a sense of concern and mutual cooperation among the community.

He advised all components involved in the implementation of the Rutilahu development to carry out this assistance program properly, accountably, and transparently so that it can be of maximum benefit to the community.

"For the sake of the community's interests, so in its implementation it must be honest, have sincere, must be accountable and transparent so that this benefit can be fully felt by the community. Of course, this is contained in the points in Pancasila, namely social welfare for all Indonesian people," he said.

On that occasion, the Bekasi City Government also provided scholarships to high school graduates for orphans in Pondok Melati District, whose parents died during COVID-19 in 2021.

"The government must be present in the midst of the community, providing as much benefits as possible for the realization of the mission vision and mission of the City of Bekasi that is Smart, Creative, Advanced, Prosperous, and Ihsan," he said.
