Spanish Prime Minister And Defense Minister Terrorized The Bomb Contained Package, Allegedly Regarding The Russian-Ukraine War
JAKARTA - Two top Spanish officials were terrorized in a package containing bombs. Allegedly, this is related to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The package containing explosives was addressed to the Spanish Prime Minister and the Spanish Defense Minister. The report circulating said the bomb package was also targeting the Ukrainian Ambassador to Spain.
Not only that, the European Union Satellite Center in Madrid, the arms company Instalaza and the US Embassy in Madrid also received the same terror.
However, the only package that caused the damage was sent to the Ukrainian Embassy on Wednesday. The package exploded and injured a staff.
The Spanish police continue to investigate who sent the package, which was first received on November 24, according to Antara via Anadolu, Saturday, December 3.
The Spanish Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday, December 1, reported that all the explosives were assembled and sent from the Spanish region and had similar characteristics. The handwritten on the package is the same.
On Friday, Malaska told media crews that police hope to provide more information in the next few days.
Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska sent a letter to European leaders on Friday, December 2 local time. Its contents warn that a series of letters bomb shipments in Spain "can be linked" to war in Ukraine.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, the Spanish Minister of Home Affairs said he "must inform European institutions and member states (EU) that this incident may be linked to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, so they can evaluate what should be done and anticipate similar incidents in other countries."
On Friday, December 2, the Ukrainian Embassy across Europe, such as in Madrid, received a bloody package containing animal body parts, according to a statement by the Ukrainian Foreign Minister.
