Ministry Of SOEs Helps Earthquake Victims Cianjur, Erick Thohir: Focus On 40 Villages

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said the assistance provided by 58 state-owned companies would be focused on 40 villages out of 137 villages affected by the Cianjur earthquake, West Java.

Erick said that in a disaster situation there was a need that was needed at that time but there was also assistance after the disaster.

"So that the distribution of aid can be distributed optimally to the affected communities," he said in an official statement written on Sunday, November 27.

Until now, the BUMN Task Force continues to send assistance to help earthquake victims through three main posts of the BUMN Task Force, nine aid posts, four health posts and four public kitchens spread across various points of the disaster-affected area.

In addition, as a form of collaboration with 58 SOEs, so far the Ministry of SOEs has deployed 349 volunteers and 61 health workers to help more than 60,000 refugees get assistance and temporary shelters.

In terms of infrastructure, the BUMN Task Force has sent 23 units of generator and sanitation assistance, 33 heavy equipment assistance, 17 ambulance units, 2 rescue units, and 168 units of tents.

Furthermore, for earthquake post assistance, said Erick, his party will build earthquake-resistant health centers that can be maximized as health posts and distribution of medicines in the future.

"In addition to the collaboration of 58 SOEs, we also encourage synergy with other Ministries and Institutions, hopefully we can maximize aid and relieve the affected communities," explained Erick.
