In Addition To Falls At The Cianjur Earthquake, Basarnas LIKEs To Face The 2022 Sail Tidore Festival

MALUKU - The 2022 Sail Tidore Festival will be held on November 24-29. Basarnas Ternate will deploy a special SAR team for the event which will take place in Tidore Islands, North Maluku Province.

The head of the Ternate Basarnas, Fathur Rahman, said that his party had prepared for the event by undergoing training in the waters of Tugulufa Beach, Tidore. A total of 95 personnel and one helicopter unit were deployed in training today

"In addition, there are two ships, KN SAR Wisnu and KN SAR Pandudewanata, fast boats and other supporting equipment," said Fathur in Ternate, Maluku, Wednesday, November 23.

The exercise is also in the context of securing President Joko Widodo, who is scheduled to attend the D-2 of the peak event of the 2022 Sail Tidore Festival. In the security later, the TNI, Polri, and elements from the local government will be involved.

In addition, the exercise is also in preparation for welcoming the peak of the event on Saturday, November 26, 2022. At that time, various attractions or performances will be held in a series of sailing passes in front of the invited guest podium.

These attractions include ship defiles and boats consisting of Sultanate ships, fishing boats, KRI, Basarnas ships and Bakamla ships.

Fathur conveyed that in today's training, demonstrations were also presented for the free fall, paramotor and fly pass from the TNI on Tugulufa Beach.

He added that apart from carrying out search and rescue operations for victims of the Cianjur earthquake, Basarnas was preparing to take part in the Sail Tidore Festival.

Sah Tidore is scheduled to be attended by 350 invitations both from within and outside the country, namely Sail Tidore 2022.
