The Man Suspected Of Being Theoffshooting Shop Manager, 10 People Died In Walmart Virginia United States
JAKARTA - An armed man killed up to 10 people at Walmart supermarket in Chesapeake, State of Virginia, United States, police said.
A man suspected of being the store manager opened fire, then pointed a gun at himself and died.
"The police confirmed an incident of an active shooter with a death toll in Walmart," the city authorities tweeted, citing the BBC Nov. 23.
There were some details, but a police officer spoke of no more than 10 people killed and many injured. The motive for the shooting is not yet known.
Police told reporters the attack occurred at 22:12 p.m. local time. A spokesman for Leo Kosinski said the shooting was believed to have taken place inside the shop, and the suspect acted alone.
Walmart said it was "surprised by this tragic event" and "works closely with law enforcement". Further updates from police on the Chess are expected on Wednesday morning.

Images on social media police packed the scene of the crime, while footage appeared online showing an eye witness, wearing a Walmart uniform, depicting what happened.
He said he had left the staff room, which was then entered by a manager and opened fire.
"Unfortunately we lost some of our colleagues," the man said, clarifying that he did not know how many of his colleagues were shot.
Separately, a spokeswoman for the Norfolk Sentara General Hospital was quoted by local television station WAVY-TV as saying that five people were being treated there.
A woman told WAVY-TV, her brother, a 20-year-old store employee, was shot just 10 minutes after leaving work.
Another woman named Joetta Jeffery told CNN that her mother was inside the building when the attack occurred and managed to send a text message. She said her mother was not injured but shocked.
Mark Warner, a Democratic senator for the State of Virginia, wrote on Twitter that he was "reversing with reports of mass shootings again".
Meanwhile, State senator Virginia L. Louise Lucas, also a Democrat, added that she was "completely grieving".
"I will not rest until we find a solution to end this epidemic of gun violence in our country," he tweeted.
Tuesday night's attack came just days after an gunman opened fire on an LGBT nightclub in Colorado State, killing five people and injuring 17 others.
