100% Prevent Pregnancy, This Is A Vasectomi Procedure
JAKARTA - World Vaccination Day which falls on November 18. Extortion which is a contraceptive procedure by cutting or tying the sperm channel is an effective way to prevent pregnancy.By carrying out a vasectomi, one does not need to take steps to control birth before having sex, for example using condoms because the success rate reaches 100%. "Vasectomi is almost 100 percent effective in preventing pregnancy," said urologist dr. Andika Afriansyah, Sp.U from the University of Indonesia.Andika explained that the vasectomi is an outpatient operation with a low risk of complications or side effects. Men who can undergo a vasectomi must be at least over 25 years old, the age at which conditions are considered optimal. However, there is no maximum age rate for the vasectomi procedure."According to research by the American Journal of Men’s Health, generally the vasectomi is carried out at the age of 35 years with a typical age limit of between 30 – 56 years due to various social factors and mental maturity," he explained as quoted by ANTARA.Every man must prepare his physical condition to be fit so that the vascular procedure can run smoothly. Before the vascular is carried out, the patient must undergo a medical examination and an interview with the doctor. Andika explained that at the initial meeting the doctor would provide an understanding that the vascular procedure was permanent."And it's not a good choice if there is a possibility someone wants to have children in the future," he said.Medical examinations for prospective vascular patients include laboratory examinations before surgery, such as drug allergies and blood tests.Patients also have to do pre-operative screening check-ups, not taking blood-staining drugs such as blood-staining medications or warfarins for seven days before the vasectomi.Prior to the vasectomi, patients were also asked to clean their genitals and shave their genitals throughout the scrotum, as well as avoid heavy foods and replace them with light snacks."The patient also brought strict underwear to wear after the vasectomi, in order to support the screening and reduce the swelling that occurred," explained Andika.Extortion should not be carried out by men who do not have children, are young under 30 years old, have serious illness, have no partners, and have complaints of pain in the screening. This procedure must be postponed if the patient has a disease or condition such as a local infection, acute systemic infection, sexually transmitted disease, filariasis or infection due to a filarial worm, elasticism as well as the intra-symptomatic mass.Another condition that makes the patient have to postpone the vasectomi is if there is hypersensitivity to the anesthetic agent used. Andika said there are a number of conditions that complicate the vasectomi procedure, namely if there is a history of trauma, screening, Varikokel or hydrokel, there is a history of surgery due to cryptorchidism, Henia Rachalis and blood clotting disorders.
