PWNU DKI Protests The DKI Provincial Government Grant Fund Proposed By Anies Is Only Rp. 4 Billion But DKI MUI Is Rp. 15 Billion
Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Nahdlatul Ulama (PWU) Regional Management Husny Mubarok Amir protested the allocation of grant funds proposed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to community organizations in the 2023 DKI Regional Budget draft.Husny revealed, Anies Baswedan, while still serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta a few months ago, submitted a proposal to provide grant funds to PWNU DKI amounting to Rp4 billion in the preparation of the APBD for next year.Meanwhile, said Husny, other mass organizations such as the DKI Jakarta MUI are proposed to receive a grant of more than three times the amount of PWNU DKI."Currently, the DKI Jakarta PWNU is proposed by the old Governor (Anies), in 2023 it will receive IDR 4 billion. Meanwhile, the MUI is proposed to receive IDR 15 billion," said Husny in a written statement, Thursday, November 17.According to Husny, the nominal amount of grant funds for PWNU is too small. In fact, this Islamic organization oversees 6 branches, 44 branch representatives, 267 branches, 18 institutions, 14 autonomous bodies, with more than 4 million members in Jakarta. Then, continued Husny, PWNU DKI Jakarta has also carried out more than 800 activities in 2022. Then, PWNU DKI plans to carry out more than 1,000 activities by 2023."It is very disproportionate if PWNU, which has so many agendas, only gets a Grant Fund of Rp. 4 billion, but on the other hand, MUI Jakarta, which is in an organizational structure and the number of activities is not as large and as much as PWNU, has even been allocated Rp. 15 billion in 2023," he said. Therefore, Hunsy asked the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono to increase the nominal allocation of grant funds to PWNU DKI in discussing the draft APBD for the 2023 fiscal year, which is still in progress."PWNU DKI Jakarta hopes that the new Governor can revise and provide rational reasons to the DKI Jakarta DPRD. If in 2022 the grant for PWNU DKI Jakarta is IDR 5 billion, then in 2023 it should increase so that social, religious, and national programs can run well," he added.
