JAKARTA - DL alias Ipang (30), a suspect in the robbery case that killed a woman, was finally arrested by the police after being on the run for 2 years. During the escape, Ipang fled to South Sulawesi to avoid being chased by the police.
Tambora Police Chief Kompol Putra Pratama said that despite being fugitives, Ipang was finally arrested again when he returned to carrying out a robbery in the Tambora area. DL is a recurrence criminal with the same crime mode.
"Pelaku DL alias Ipang pernah kabur dua tahun ke Kabupaten Jeneponto, Sulawesi Selatan. DL kabur setelah melakukan aksi jambret bersama temannya bernama Topan bin Bahrudin yang membunuh seorang korban. Namun Topan berhasil ditangkap setelah kejadian," kata Kompol Putra saat dikonfirmasi VOI, Kamis, 17 November.

"At that time, the perpetrator DL alias Ipang played a role in driving a motorcycle using a green Gojek jacket," said Kompol Putra.
After taking action, the suspect Topan was arrested. Then Topan was sentenced by the West Jakarta District Court Number 1265/Pid.B/2020/PN Jkt.Brt dated October 21, 2020. Topan was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
"After being fugitive and feeling safe hiding for two years, Ipang finally returned to Tambora to commit another crime of mugging," he said.
