Menparekraf Sandiaga: Ajang WSBK Gives The Impact Of Economic Improvement
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Menparekraf/Kabaparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said the World Superbike (WSBK) event which was held at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, was able to bring about the impact of improving the economy for tourism and creative economy actors in NTB.
WSBK at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit was exciting, Pata Yamaha's racer, Toprak Razgatlioglu won in Race 1, followed by Ducati's racer, Alvaro Bautista, and in third place was Kawasaki Racing Team racer Jonathan Rea.
"The match was a success, supported by sunny weather. This is a momentum for NTB and Indonesia to revive the economy for parekraf actors and the people of NTB in particular," he said in an official statement Sunday, November 13.
For your information, World Superbike (WSBK) 2022 is an event held at the Mandalika Circuit from 11 to 13 November 2022 for the second time after it was previously held in November 2021.
Sandi, Sandiaga Uno's nickname, said that the 2022 WSBK was prepared together with all parties, starting from Dorna Sports, MGPA, ITDC, NTB Provincial Government, and all relevant stakeholders.
"The number of tourists at Lombok International Airport per day has reached 6,000 visits per day where the target is 8,000 visits," he said.
Sandi hopes that after the WSBK event there will be an increase in the number of tourists to Lombok, especially ahead of the Christmas and New Year 2023 holidays.
"We hope that after this WSBK, the increase in the number of tourists will increase, especially ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays," he said.
