Gerindra Asks The Governor Of DKI Heru To Departe Marbot Umrah Mosques Like The Ahok-Anies Era

The Gerindra Party faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD asked the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono to re-allocate a budget to send the marbot and imam of the mosque to the Holy Land to perform Umrah. As is known, the Umrah program for mosque marbot by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government began during the era of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) and was continued by Anies Baswedan while serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta. However, since the COVID-19 pandemic hit 2020, this program has been forced to be stopped due to the budget allocation for health care, along with restrictions on mobility abroad."Similarly, the Umrah program for marbots and mosque imams should be budgeted again," said Member of the Gerindra faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Thopaz Nugraha Syamsul, quoted in the general view document of the factions against the Raperda regarding the DKI Jakarta APBD for the 2023 fiscal year, Thursday, November 10.Thopaz revealed that this free Umrah program is needed as a form of concern and appreciation for the state for those who have served in maintaining and reviving houses of worship."Not to mention the need for secretariat activities, strengthening the institutional institutions of the organization and management of houses of worship as well as the hope that religious and marbot leaders get BPJS dependents, it is impossible to fulfill the allocation of grants set out in KUA-PPAS in 2023," he said.Furthermore, Gerindra also highlighted the program to provide operational assistance for places of worship (BOTI) through grant funds to the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) of DKI Jakarta, which was initiated since Anies' leadership, apparently has not touched all places of worship in Jakarta.Thopaz gave an example, there were 4,629 mosques in Jakarta. However, the newly realized ones received BOTI and assistance in the form of incentives for imams, marbots and Koran teachers as many as 3,300 mosques."Meanwhile, 1,329 mosques have not received BOTIES. Likewise, there are 6,089 mosques recorded from 6,089 buildings, which have only received 3,000 prayer rooms," said Thopaz."Therefore, the Gerindra faction hopes that the budget allocation must also be intended for Koran teachers in remote areas of the village or commonly called lekar teachers," he concluded.
