3 Kings In Ambon Are Sure To Be Sworn In This Month

AMBON - The Ambon City Government (Pemkot) State Assistance Team has confirmed that it will inaugurate three definitive kings in Ambon in November 2022.

Head of the State Assistance Team, Piet Saimima, said that the inauguration was carried out on the Definitive King from the Urimessing Country, Naku Country, and Laha Ambon Country.

"So this November, if everything goes well, there will be three inductees. They are Urimesing, Naku and Laha. For Urimesing, the internal problems have been completed, because they have submitted the nominees, and we hope this November the realization of the 3 countries," he said. after an evaluation meeting with Commission I DPRD Ambon, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, October 2.

He said, at this time, Naku State only had to stipulate a state regulation (Perneg), then wait for the nomination of candidates from the Eye of the "Parentah" House which had been agreed upon.

Meanwhile, for Laha State, it is just a matter of waiting for the nomination of candidates from the “Marga Mata Rumah” clan.

"So we'll see, now the important thing is that we have a target that is already there, because the work must be with a target. For that our target is November, if it shifts a little, the important thing is that it can be completed," he said.

He said, only seven remaining countries. He said his party would monitor the progress.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Commission I of the Ambon City DPRD, Jafry Taihuttu explained that the partnership evaluation meeting was part of the Pj's commitment. Mayor of Ambon to complete the entire election process for a country that does not yet have a definitive king.

"At least 10 countries are definitive. Because for other countries, such as the Land of Batu Merah, now the Cassation has arrived, we are waiting for the verdict. Whoever wins, then he will be sworn in," he said.

In addition, regarding the State of Passo, last October 24, it was decided that the case in which "Mata Simaiuw" was suing Saniri Negeri, had been won by Mata Rumah Simauw.

"Similarly for Urimessing Country, this November King Urimessing will be sworn in, King Laha, and finally Naku Country. So before we close in December, the three countries have been inaugurated and completed," he said.

The 10 traditional lands that do not yet have a definitive king include Laha, Urimesing, Amahusu, Rumah Tiga, Passo, Naku, Batu Merah, Tawiri, Silale, and Hative Besar. After the inauguration of the three countries that have been described, there will be seven countries that do not yet have a definitive king.
