KPK Ultimatum 6 Suspects Alleged Selling And Buying Positions In Bangkalan To Be Cooperative

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has issued an ultimatum to six suspects in the case of buying and selling positions in Bangkalan Regency, East Java. They were asked to cooperate in responding to the summons so that the case became clear.

"We hope that the parties concerned can cooperate in responding to the summons of the KPK investigators when a statement is needed to complete the case file for this investigation," said the Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Tuesday, November 1.

Ali reminded them that they must attend, especially since the prevention of going abroad has been carried out. The KPK confirmed that it had asked the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prevent them for six months until April 2023.

One of the things prevented in connection with the alleged bribery of buying and selling positions was Bangkalan Regent Abdul Latif Amin Imron.

"For investigation purposes, the KPK has asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent 6 people from traveling abroad," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK has searched a number of locations in Bangkalan Regency. Among them, are the Regional Civil Service Agency Office, the Bangkalan Regent's Office, the Deputy Regent's office, the Regional Secretary's office, and the Regent's official residence to the Bangkalan Regent's private house.

Head of the Regional Personnel Agency and Apparatus Resources Development Agency (BKDPSDA) of the Bangkalan Regency Government, Agus Leandy, stated that the search was related to the position auction assessment. This is based on documents confiscated by investigators.

In addition, the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) has prevented Bangkalan Regent Abdul Latif Amin Imron from going abroad. Prevention is carried out for six months until April 2022 at the request of the KPK.

"The person in question is on the prevention list at the suggestion of the KPK," said Head of Sub-section of the Directorate General of Immigration, Ahmad Nursaleh, to reporters, Wednesday, October 26.
