Ticket Manual Deleted, West Java Police Express There Was An Exception
JABAR - The National Police Chief, General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, removed the manual ticket to replace it with an ETLE-based electronic ticket. The West Java (West Java) Police revealed that there were exceptions related to the Chief of Police's instructions.
West Java Police Head of Humas Kombes Pol. Ibrahim Tompo revealed that traffic police personnel (polantas) can apply manual tickets if road users carry out activities that are prone to accidents. At that moment, Ibrahim emphasized that the police could only ticket.
"So there are still selective priority tickets, but we prioritize persuasive education," said Ibrahim in Bandung, West Java, quoted from Antara, Monday, October 31.
In addition, he continued, police personnel in the field also carry out educational activities for road users in a persuasive manner. So, according to him, the public can understand and do not commit traffic violations in the future. "Later it will lead to education that can smooth the flow of traffic, this is an outline that we do in West Java," he said. According to him, every police station in the ranks of the West Java Regional Police may carry out innovations in an effort to educate the public about traffic safety. "Then other attention is to eliminate extortion, meaning that there should be no extortion in the field," he concluded.
