Hasto Kristiyanto: All Party Cadres Must Not Make Additional Movements
JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Hasto Kristiyanto provided a new cadre briefing at the PDIP Lenteng Agung Party School, Jakarta, Sunday, October 30.
He reminded PDIP cadres not to make additional movements, unless moving down to help the people's economy in the midst of the current global threat situation.
"All party members and cadres must not make a movement, additional movements, except for the single movement, moving to help the people's economy so that they can quickly recover from the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic," said Hasto in his remarks. This was said by Hasto following sanctions against members and cadres for preceding PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri regarding presidential candidates (candidates).
Hasto then asked all party cadres for discipline related to the 2024 presidential election (pilpres), including for new PDIP members who starting today receive briefing.
"Regarding the 2024 presidential election, it is very clear that everything has stages, everything has a mechanism. So we follow these stages with full discipline," said Hasto.
Hasto emphasized that the matter of presidential and vice presidential candidates (candidates and vice presidential candidates) is the full authority of the PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.
This, he said, was in accordance with the decision of the party congress bearing the whitenose.
"Regarding the presidential and vice presidential candidates, the congress has given a mandate to the General Chairperson," said Hasto Kristiyanto.
Even so, Hasto instructed PDIP cadres to continue to consolidate with the community as a preparatory step to wait for Megawati Soekarnoputri's direction regarding the 2024 presidential election.
"That's what we do and we must carry out consolidation continuously, so that when the order from the General Chairperson comes down, all levels of the party are ready to move to win the presidential candidate, the vice presidential candidate appointed by our General Chair," concluded Hasto.
For information, PDIP today started the debriefing process for new cadres, totaling 198,354 people. Including some people with retired backgrounds.
Hasto said that the newly joined PDIP members will be trained by the party and receive special assignments in the field.
