Cadres Become Anies Volunteers, Young Golkar Figures Desak Airlangga Declaration The Name Of The 2024 Presidential Candidate
JAKARTA - Young Golkar figure Riko Lesiani reminded Golkar Party General Chair (Ketum) Airlangga Hartarto to immediately announce the name of the presidential candidate (candidate) who will be promoted in the 2024 presidential election.
"If the Golkar Party does not immediately declare Airlangga (Hartarto) as a presidential candidate from the Golkar Party, it violates the decision of the national deliberation (munas)," he said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Monday, October 24.
Riko also responded to the statement by the Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Golkar Party Dave Laksono who said that there were no cadres who brought the party's name for personal interests and political attitudes, especially against Golkar's policies.
He then questioned who the Golkar cadre Dave was referring to.
Riko compared Golkar's condition with the PDI-P (PDIP). Personally, he applauds Ganjar Pranowo's courage to declare himself ready to run as a presidential candidate. Although, Riko knows internally that PDIP has not behaved regarding the name of the presidential candidate.
Previously, Golkar Party DPP chairman Dave Laksono reminded Golkar cadres not to conflict with party policies.
This was conveyed by Dave regarding the emergence of Go-Anies volunteers who claimed to be from the Golkar Party. The volunteer supports Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2024.
"No one should carry the party name for personal interests and political attitudes, especially if it is against party policies," he said, Sunday, October 24 evening.
Dave emphasized that a number of Golkar cadres who took part in the group did not represent the party. According to him, Golkar has not announced support for the presidential candidate to date.
"If there are cadres who deviate from the party's policy, it is resistance to the party's attitude, and that is disobedience," he said.
