Jokowi Enggan Replys With Surya Paloh's Holder Becomes A Highlight, Secretary General Of PDIP: "I'm Not Used To Being A Political Issue"

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto asked President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who was reluctant to reply to the hug of the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, not to be exaggerated.

In a video circulating on social media, Surya Paloh appears to hug President Jokowi. However, the former governor of DKI Jakarta did not reply and preferred to pat on the arm of the media company boss.

"You don't have to be a political issue like that. People also know that it is between Pak Surya Paloh and Pak Anies," Hasto told reporters in the GBK area, Jakarta, Sunday, October 23.

Hasto said the figures who liked to hug were Surya Paloh and former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan who had been declared candidates for the NasDem Party. Meanwhile, President Jokowi usually takes action.

So, he asked President Jokowi's attitude in the video not to be related to the growing issue after NasDem nominated Anies.

"As far as I know, Mr. Surya Paloh likes hugs with Mr. Anies, yes. With Mr. Jokowi, right, he shows it like that," said Hasto.

Furthermore, Hasto highlighted President Jokowi's remarks reminding him to find a good leader. He agreed that this step should be taken carefully.

Moreover, being president is likened to a pilot who brings great responsibility. "Everything must be done carefully, that's from the figure of the president," he said.

"What we can mean is that in finding a leader, we must really be a leader who has a good track record," concluded Hasto.
