Kemenkes Larang Peredaran Obat Sirup, Pemkot Bogor Bakal Monitor Dokter Sampai Pharmacy
WEST JAVA - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) urges doctors, pharmacies or drug stores not to provide free drugs in the form of liquid preparations orrahs to the public for the time being.
The appeal follows the rise of cases of mysterious kidney failure in children triggered by mild or liquid drugs.
"The Bogor City Health Office has been asked to monitor developments in the field as well as ensure that the Ministry of Health's appeal is obeyed," Deputy Mayor of Bogor Dedie A. Rachim in Bogor, West Java (West Java), Thursday, October 20.
Dedie said this was in accordance with the Ministry of Health's instructions regarding the temporary suspension of the sale of Gunung by immediately carrying out the appeal through the Health Service.
He also appealed, in addition to socialization in the ranks of health policy makers, the community, especially parents, to be careful and vigilant so that there are no regrets regarding the health of children in the future.
"Parents must be careful and vigilant so that there is no regret if we rashly do not heed this appeal," he said.
Head of the Bogor City Health Office (Dinkes), Dr. Sri Nowo Retno, stated that until now there have been no reports of cases of mysterious kidney failure in children in Bogor.
As an anticipatory measure, Sri said the Health Office had socialized it at the Puskesmas and hospitals regarding the prohibition of giving measures or liquid to patients before there was another policy from the government.
"We have received a letter from the Ministry of Health and we have forwarded it to the hospital health facilities and health centers," he said.
The Health Office, he said, would conduct a review of the Puskesmas and hospitals in following up on this government instruction.
"We will continue to monitor. We will convey the progress later," said Sri Nowo Retno.
The Ministry of Health reported that cases of mysterious acute kidney failure that appeared in Indonesia in the last two months were found in children aged six months to 18 years.
"As of October 18, 2022, 189 cases have been reported, most of which are dominated by ages one to five," said Acting Director of Health Services for Referral Ministry of Health, Yanti Herman, in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 18.
Deputy Minister of Health (Wamenkes) Dante Saksono Harbuwono said that the government has instructed the government to temporarily suspend the sale ofrahous drugs in all pharmacies during the investigation of the risk of infection following cases of acute kidney disorders in children.
He said that the government did not prohibit the use of paracetamol, but prohibited the use ofethymmetric medicinal products that could be contaminated with glycol ethylene (EG).
The Ministry of Health issued instructions regarding the obligation to investigate epidemiology and report cases of acute kidney disorders in children on October 18, 2022.
In this case, the Ministry of Health has instructed all health workers in health care facilities not to temporarily predetermine medicines in the form of liquid orrah until there is an official announcement from the government.
In addition, the ministry asked all pharmacies not to temporarily sell free or free drugs in the form ofmensities to the public until there was an official announcement from the government regarding this matter.
