PASAMAN BARAT - West Pasaman Resort Police, West Sumatra, arrested an employee of a palm oil company PT PMS with the initials HH (42) in Jorong Simpang Gadang, Nagari Sungai Aua, Sungai Aur District for allegedly growing cannabis leaves in a polybag.Kasatresnarkoba AKP Eri Yanto said the suspect was arrested by the Lembah Melintang Police and the Opsnal team of the West Pasaman Police Narcotics Investigation Unit.The perpetrator was secured at the housing complex of PT PMS Jorong Simpang Gadang, Nagari Sungai Aua, Sungai Aur Pasaman Barat District, Monday afternoon at around 13.40 WIB.The cannabis plant was first discovered by the Assistant for the Gardens of PT PMS Harizal and Sunardi together with Dapit as a garden employee accompanied by members of Brimob who served at PT PMS went to the Employee Camp of Division 3 KM 9 Jorong Simpang Gadang, Nagari Sungai Aua, Sungai Aur District."The arrival of Assistant Gardens and employees together with Brimob members to the employee camp of Division 3 KM 9, has suspected that one of the employees of PT PMS was planting marijuana in a polybag," he said at Simpang Empat, Antara, Tuesday, October 18.After arriving at the location, the company's representatives found nine polybags, precisely behind the employee camp occupied by the suspect HH.Of the nine polybags, he said, four of them allegedly contained five cannabis plants which were about one month old, while the other five polybags did not have marijuana plants.Furthermore, the evidence was taken to the staff mes, then the garden assistant went to call the suspect HH who was working in the PT PSM oil palm plantation to come to the mes."Then interrogated the suspect HH admitted that the cannabis plant belonged to him who was planted by himself," he said.After receiving recognition from the suspect, the company immediately reported the incident to the Head of the Lembah Melintang Police, Iptu Zulfikar, and immediately coordinated with the West Pasaman Police Narcotics Investigation Unit to make arrests."From the initial interrogation of the suspect, the cannabis plant was not intended to be circulated, but only for self-use. Meanwhile, the cannabis seeds were obtained from a fellow suspect," he said.He explained that the evidence that was confiscated by officers was in the form of five sticks of narcotics type I of marijuana planted in four bags of black polybags and five polybags containing land that had not been planted with marijuana."To account for his actions, the suspect is currently at the West Pasaman Police Headquarters for further investigation," he said.The suspect charged the suspect HH with Article 114 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 111 paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics with a minimum penalty of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years and a minimum fine of IDR 1 billion and a maximum of IDR 10 billion.
