Overcoming Global Issues, Presidential Candidates In 2024 Are Assessed To Have 4 Qualifiers
JAKARTA - Global challenges that will impact Indonesia indirectly will affect the need for a presidential candidate (Capres) in 2024 who is able to overcome the complexity of the problem.
Political communication observer at Esa Unggul University Jamiluddin Ritonga assesses that at least the next Indonesian presidential candidate must be able to overcome the multidimensional crisis that has the opportunity to hit the world.
According to Jamiluddin, the upcoming Indonesian presidential candidate must have four qualifications. First, must have a sense of crisis. He said, only presidential candidates who have a sense of crisis will be able to quickly overcome various crises.
"Second, the upcoming presidential candidate should have a broad network in the international world. This is necessary so that Indonesia can more easily pass its interests, especially for domestic progress," said Jamiluddin in Jakarta, Thursday, October 13.
Third, he continued, future presidential candidates must have a long vision ahead. Presidential candidates like this, said Jamiluddin, will be able to unravel various problems into opportunities for the advancement of Indonesia.
He believes that the visionary presidential candidate in compiling Indonesia's blueprint will be clearly and directed.
"Through his vision, the presidential candidate can direct Indonesia forward in a comprehensive and integrated manner," he said.
Fourth, the upcoming presidential candidate must be credible and acceptable to the majority of the Indonesian people. "That way, he believes in the people and his policies are followed by the majority of the people," said Jamiluddin.
Previously, President Joko Widodo had asked all parties to always be ready to face every challenge and global geopolitical change. From this suggestion, a qualified national leader in the future is needed.
