6 Villages In The Bogor Peak Area Were Hit By The Bandang Floods And Longsor
BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) recorded that as many as 14 points in 6 villages in the Puncak area, Cisarua, Bogor Regency, experienced flash floods and landslides.
The Head of Cisarua Sub-district of Bogor Regency, Ivan Pramudia, said that the natural disaster appeared several hours due to heavy rain accompanied by strong winds on Sunday, October 9 night.
"There were floods and landslides. Due to the high intensity of rain starting at 18.00 WIB on Sunday (October 9) night," said Ivan in Bogor, West Java, Monday, October 10.
Floods and landslides in Bogor Regency occurred in Pesanggrahan Village, Citeko Village, Pasir Panjang Village, Jogjogan Village, Batulayang Village, Cibeureum Village, South Tugu Village.
Then, nine points in Kopo Village, namely three points in Cijulang Village, two points in Muara Village, and four points in Cidokom Village.
Ivan said that his party was still collecting data on damage to residents' facilities due to this disaster. However, he admitted that he was grateful that there were no reports of casualties.
"There are no fatalities, material losses are still being calculated," said Ivan.
The Head of the Bogor Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Yani Hassan, added that Bogor Regency had set a disaster alert until the end of the year.
The status determination has been made since the disaster preparedness rally at the end of September 2022.
"Through the alert meeting, we will strengthen readiness, considering the high rainfall in October and November," he said.
According to him, BPBD recorded 524 disasters in Bogor Regency until August 2022. The disaster consisted of 228 landslides, 165 strong winds and 71 flood disasters.
The Bogor Regency area is geographically and topographically quite unstable and prone to landslides, tornadoes and floods, said Yani Hassan.
