2 Houses In Sukabumi, West Java, Moderately Damaged, 1 More Severely Affected By The 5.5 Magnitude Earthquake In Banten

SUKABUMI - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Sukabumi Regency received a report from the Nagrak District Disaster Management Officer (P2BK) that three houses in Nagrak District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java were damaged by the 5.5 magnitude earthquake, centered in Bayah Regency, Banten.

"As a result, the house was damaged by the Banten earthquake that occurred at 17.02 WIB on Sunday. The residents fled to their relatives' homes," said P2BK Nagrak Miki in a report to the Operations Control Center (Pusdalops) of the Sukabumi Regency BPBD, as quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 9.

The three damaged houses were two units located in Cimande Village, RT 02/06, Kalaparea Village and one other unit was in Hegarmanah Village, RT 03/04, Girijaya Village, Nagrak District.

From temporary data, out of the three houses, two were moderately damaged and one was heavily damaged. For medium damage, it belongs to Ence Mulyadi, who has three people, and Sama, who has four people, in Cimande Village.

Then for the house which is categorized as heavily damaged, namely Puloh's, it is inhabited by five residents of Hegarmanah Village, where the condition of the house is almost collapsed and of course endangers the residents.

Until now, the Sukabumi Regency BPBD Pusdalops has just received the report of the damage and there is no information on the loss of life due to the earthquake that occurred on Sunday evening.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 centered at 7.09 south latitude (LS), 106.08 east longitude (BT) about 26 km southwest, Bayah Regency, Banten with a depth of 12 km below the sea ​​level.
