The Suburgy Of Village Funds Belonging To The Head Of Kampung In Papua, Jayawijaya Regional Secretary: Intellectuals In The Rawal Distribution District!
PAPUA - The Jayawijaya Regency Government, Papua Province, reminded officers spread across 40 districts to use village funds (DD) in accordance with the mutual agreement with the village community.
The Regional Secretary of Jayawijaya Regency (Sekdakab), Thony Mayor, said that hope would continue to be conveyed so that no village officials would be trapped in legal issues because they used village funds incorrectly.
"It must be used according to the mutual agreement that has been outlined in the village budget (APBKam) so that accountability does not cause problems," he said in Wamena, Papua, quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 9.
Thony emphasized that the central government distributed village funds to 328 villages there, not village heads or village officials.
"The funds belong to the community in each village," he said.
Thony admits that there are still some village heads who view that the funds belong to the person concerned.
He also encouraged that understanding to be removed by continuing socialization so as not to cause problems between the community and the village government.
"People, especially intellectuals in villages and districts, must also control the distribution of village funds so that they are right on target," he said.
Previously, the Jayawijaya Resort Police confirmed that they were still investigating allegations of corruption in village funds in seven villages in this district.
"Of the 328 villages in Jayawijaya, there are seven incoming information reports. However, all investigations have not been raised to investigation," said the Jayawijaya Police Corruption Head, IPDA Herianto.
One of the seven villages suspected of misuse of village funds is in Musaflak Village, Libarek District.
Following up on the residents' reports, the police have summoned four residents and seven village officials to provide information.
"We have issued a clarification invitation to the relevant parties in Musafak Village so that this village fund comes from the investigation stage to the investigation stage," he said.
As a result of the alleged misappropriation of the 2019 Village Fund, some people refused to disburse funds in 2022 before the issue was resolved.
"From DD 2019, it finally had an impact on the 2022 Village Fund, the first stage of which had not been paid," he said.
