BPKH Kembangkan Digitalisasi Dalam Layanan Hajj Dan Umrah

JAKARTA - The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) is developing the practical application of Hajj and Umrah digitization. This was revealed in the 4th International Hajj Conference this year.

Head of BPKH Anggito Abhimanyu said there were several reasons why inclusiveness and the development of digitization of Hajj and Umrah services were very important issues.

"First, the pilgrimage and Umrah are related to Islamic harmony, so the Hajj mission or organizers must gradually improve the quality of their services," said Anggito in his statement, Sunday, October 9.

The services referred to for Hajj and Umrah include aspects of rituals, teaching and training, as well as the provision of facilities such as flights, accommodation and catering provided by technology and information (IT).

The next reason, continued Anggito, is the fact that these services include various problems outside the religious aspect. Among them are the provision of visas, security, tourism aspects, logistics, health technology, business and finance.

"Therefore, the implementation of Hajj and Umrah must be inclusive by providing equal access, for people who may have been excluded so far," he said.

Then, Anggito said that the digitization of Hajj and Umrah must meet the need to overcome this inclusive problem. Digitalization of Hajj and Umrah in global platforms that are connected to all countries in the world must be accessible to the public.

"Every Hajj mission must build a digital system that connects operational and financial services," he explained.
