Landa Flood Denpasar Bali, Joint SAR Team Successfully Evacuating 33 People, Most Foreigners
DENPASAR - Floods have hit several areas in Denpasar City, Bali Province, since Saturday, October 8 in the morning local time. As a result, a number of residents were trapped and asked for help to be rescued.
Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas Bali) Gede Darmada said his party had received requests for assistance for the evacuation of flood victims. The joint SAR team, among others, consisted of Basarnas Bali personnel, Denpasar BPBD, Samapta Directorate of the Bali Police, Senkom partner of the National Police, Radio SAR Potential 115 and local communities. Pura Demak Gang Detean Denpasar City. Flood handling around Seminyak on Jalan Nakula Gang Baik was completed at 10.30 WITA.
Based on preliminary data reported by Antara, the joint SAR team managed to evacuate 27 adults with details of nine Indonesian citizens and 18 foreigners as well as six toddlers (one Indonesian citizen and five foreigners).
