LED TV Procurement Project for DPR Members' Work Space Reaches IDR 1.5 Billion, Gerindra Legislator Asks the Secretariat General of DPR to Explain to the Public

JAKARTA - The television procurement project for the working rooms of House of Representatives members has caused a stir. The reason is, the project is recorded using the 2022 budget, with a total budget of IDR 1,554,000,000 sourced from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).

The procurement of LED TVs can be seen on the official website of the General Procurement Plan Information System (SiRUP) of the Government Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute. The project is registered under General Procurement Plan (RUP) Code 36341964.

"Procurement of 43-inch LED TVs for members' workspaces", said the package name written on the site.

Responding to this procurement, a member of the House of Representatives from the Gerindra Party faction, Habiburokhman, asked the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives to explain it to the public. Because it is the domain of the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives.

"The procurement issue is the domain of the House of Representatives' secretariat general work unit", said Habiburokhman, to reporters, Wednesday, October 5.

He suggested, if the procurement process is complete, then the installation of TVs in the rooms of DPR members needs to be continued.

"If the procurement process has been completed, please just install it in the room because there is no TV", said the Gerindra legislator.

However, Habiburokhman admitted that he could not comment on the television procurement price which reached billions of rupiah. According to him, that is the realm of the work unit in the Secretariat General of the Indonesia House of Representatives.

Therefore, the Deputy Chairperson of the House of Representatives of the Court of Honor Council (MKD) suggested that the Secretariat General of the House of Representatives explain the procurement issue to the public.

"The issue of prices and others is purely their responsibility, please explain to the public. Including the procurement tender process, please be escorted to comply with applicable regulations", said Habiburokhman.
