Jokowi Asks Minister of Health and Governor of East Java to Monitor Medical Service Facilities in Kanjuruhan Stadium Tragedy

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the Indonesian Minister of Health (Menkes), Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa to monitor medical services in the incident of the Kanjuruhan tragedy.

"I have asked the Minister of Health and the Governor of East Java to specifically monitor medical services for victims who the hospital is treating to get the best service", said Jokowi, Sunday, October 2.

In addition, he also asked the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Zainudin Amali, General Chair of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), Iwan Bule, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to evaluate the implementation or security.

"I regret the tragedy and I hope for the last tragedy of football in the country. He said no more tragedy of the human tragedy in the future".

For information, the tragedy of Kanjurah occurred on Saturday, October 1 after the Arema match against Persebaya ended 2-3. As a result, the fans nicknamed the Singo Edan team entered the field area.
