COVID-19 Update As of September 30: New Cases 1,857, Healing Increases 2,601

JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 66,041 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 1,857 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,431,624 and active cases have fallen by 763 to 17,594", said the data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Friday, September 30.

The number of recovered cases today increased by 2,601 people, bringing the total to 6,255,918 recovered. Then, the number of positive confirmed cases who died increased by 19 cases and the total was 158,112 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 734 cases and a total of 1,425,915 cases. Followed by West Java which has 342 new cases with a total of 1,180,050 cases. East Java has 206 new cases and a total of 605,346 cases. Banten has 132 new cases and a total of 337,234 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 941 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 812 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 194 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 182 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 108,723,455.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 6.71 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 4,393 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, 204,578,791 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,186,063 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 63,552,350 and the fourth dose was 616,024. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
