JAKARTA - Universitas Indonesia (UI) menyerahkan Buku Collection Policy Brief dan Bus Listrik Merah Putih. Langkah ini untuk mendukung rangkaian acara Presidensi G20 Indonesia 2022.

Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy/Chairman of the Joint Secretariat Sherpa Track and Finance Track of the G20 Indonesia Presidency 2022 Susiwijono Moegiarso said the compilation script of 40 policy briefs submitted was the result of the 2022 G20 Research-Based Policy Grant Program which included the three main pillars of the G20 Presidency.

He explained that the script consisted of 11 policy briefs with global health architecture topics, 15 policies briefings with digital transformation topics, 12 policies briefings with energy transition topics, and two policies briefings for cross-cutting issues.

"The support and cooperation of the UI academic community will certainly help provide perspectives in the Sherpa G20 meeting, which will complete the draft Leaders Declaration, which will be the main output of the Bali G20 Summit in November 2022," said Susiwijono in a statement quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 27.

Meanwhile, the UI's Red and White Electric Bus that was handed over, he continued, was purely the work of the UI Faculty of Engineering, ranging from design to existing features and facilities, and this bus contains the largest domestic components for the category of domestically produced electric buses.

He said this electric bus will later be used for the G20 Sherpa Meeting which is in line with Indonesia's vision as a lead by example in the G20 Presidency, and is a concrete form of energy transition pillars.

The local content of the UI Electric Bus is the highest in Indonesia. Of course, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and the Minister of Industry will support that what has been produced on campus must be pushed to the industrial level," said Susiwijono.

On the same occasion, the Deputy for Coordination of International Economic Cooperation at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Edi Prio Pambudi, received a recommendation from UI academics regarding the policy briefing for the 2022 G20 Indonesia Presidency.

He said the collection of policies briefs based on the thoughts of scientists and academics would be able to be used to enrich the results of the G20 Presidency concrete.

Regarding the delivery of electric buses, he continued, it will be an inseparable part of global efforts to achieve SDGs and reduce carbon emissions according to the Paris Agreement.

He said the electric bus would be a source of pride because of the innovations of the only one in Indonesia that was designed to build, the control system and cooling system were designed by experts from UI, and built by domestic companies.
