Joe Joyce Is Now A Mandatory Opponent Of Oleksandr Usyk, Joseph Parker Has Become A Victim

JAKARTA - British heavyweight boxer Joe Joyce has now received a mandatory ticket against Oleksandr Usyk. The ticket was obtained after defeating New Zealand boxer Joseph Parker.

Joyce won the vacant interim WBO heavyweight title after knocking out former WBO world champion Parker (KO) in the 11th round at the AO Arena, Manchester, England, Sunday, September 25 yesterday.

"At this stage in my career, Joe [Joyce] is the toughest challenge. As you can see tonight, the pressure he puts on, every time I hit him, he keeps hitting back," Parker said at his post-fight press conference, reported by Boxing Scene.

This was Parker's third loss in 33 professional fights and the first knockout in three.

Meanwhile, Joyce managed to maintain an unbeaten record from 15 duels that he lived. Usyk has the same record as his mandatory challenger.

However, Joyce certainly will not face Usyk immediately after defeating Parker. The reason is, Usyk is in the plan against names like Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury, and Canelo Alvarez.

Joyce's mandatory duel against Usyk for the WBO title. The title is still in the hands of the Ukrainian boxer after his latest victory over Anthony Joshua in a rematch in Saudi Arabia on August 20.

However, Joyce will most likely have to queue to be able to duel Usyk. He wants to stage a fight against Fury next year.

Meanwhile, Fury has shown no intention of stepping into the ring next year after previously announcing his retirement.

Currently, Fury is even trying to face Anthony Joshua in December. However, the agreement has not been signed by Joshua.
