JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Maritime and Agriculture Food Security Sub-Department (KPKP) stated that it found salted fish circulation containing formalin and rotten meat in a number of traditional markets in the Central Jakarta area.

Head of the Section (Kasie) of Maritime and Agriculture Security in Central Jakarta, Ilhamsyah, said that the discovery of salted fish and meat is not suitable for consumption from the results of routine food monitoring in traditional markets.

"What we often find is salted fish containing formalin and rotten meat. The discovery is in a traditional market in Central Jakarta owned by Pasar Jaya," said Ilhamsyah when confirmed, Monday, September 26.

In fact, said Ilhamsyah, his party has also straightened out where the fish came from. During the search, it was found that the fish came from Muara Angke, North Jakarta.

The Muara Angke area is a place for traders to buy in the area.

"On average they take from the Muara Angke area," he said.
