The KPK Asks Officials To Show Anti-Corruption Behavior So That They Can Be Panutan
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked officials in the country to consistently not commit corrupt acts. They are expected to show anti-corruption behavior so that children can imitate it.
"How adults or leaders show anti-corruption behavior that can be imitated and will be role models for children in the future," said KPK Education Network Director Aida Ratna Zulaiha in a written statement, Monday, September 26.
Aida said children often follow the behavior of people who are wary. If officials show corrupt actions, it does not mean that children cannot imitate him.
This reason makes officials must continue to emulate anti-corruption actions for the community, especially children. There are various ways that can be done, one of which is to report allegations of corruption if you find out.
They are asked not to be afraid to report. Reports can be made against law enforcement officials.
"ASNs can also report if they look at corrupt behavior carried out by state officials," said Aida.
Furthermore, the KPK is also trying to foster an anti-corruption attitude in the community. There are various ways to do this, such as launching an anti-corruption bus.
Aida said the bus would travel to a number of cities to remind the dangers of corrupt practices. It is hoped that the public will be enthusiastic about welcoming and participating in the bus activities.
"The KPK bus seeks to provide an understanding that exemplary is an important thing in efforts to prevent corruption," he concluded.
