ACEH - A total of three fishermen from East Aceh who were swept away while at sea some time ago have been found safe in the Langkawi Malaysia area."They are in good health and still in Langkawi, they were found about five days ago," said Deputy Secretary General of Panglima Laot (Laut) Aceh Miftach Tjut Adek in Banda Aceh, quoted from Antara, Friday, September 23.Miftach said the fishermen previously on September 13, 2022 or 10 days ago sailed from Kuala Peudawa, East Aceh Regency.Then, it was reported that they had experienced a disaster because the ship used was leaked and hit by wood in the middle of the sea, causing the ship's engine to die."After two days of floating around, about two days ago they received help from the Langkawi marine police, and received health care," he said.The identities of the fishermen are M Yunus (34), Sofyan Ishak (50) and Fajri Kamal (29), the three residents of Peudawa, East Aceh Regency.Miftach said that currently the three fishermen had received assistance from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Malaysia. So far they are waiting for the administrative process of returning from Imigresen Langkawi, Malaysia."We continue to coordinate regarding the repatriation of three East Acehnese fishermen who were swept away to Langkawi. They have been accompanied by the Indonesian Embassy," said Miftach Tjut Adek.
