JAKARTA - The builder of the National Crafts Council (Dekranas) Iriana Joko Widodo praised the beauty of the motifs and quality of woven typical of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. With the beauty of the motif, Iriana is confident that she is capable of competitiveness in the international market."Tenun cual bagus, cool dan saya berharap agar penyuman cual dapat terus dimantaris dan dikembangkan," kata Iriana dalam keterangan pers yang diterima, Antara, Kamis, 22 September.Iriana conveyed this when visiting the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Government booth at the Kriyanusa Exhibition with the theme 'The Spirit of Supporting Competitive Crafts' with the tagline "Cinta Crafts and Proud to be Made in Indonesia" at Hall A of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) 21 to 25 September 2022 Convention Center.At exhibition activities in helping the marketing of superior micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs) products throughout Indonesia, the Provincial Government of the Babylon Islands not only displays cual weaving but also other superior handicrafts such as pewter, purun straws, resam knitting and cadang cultural houses."The beauty of this cual weaving, has a wide market potential even to be exported abroad," said Iriana.He appreciated and encouraged MSME actors to continue to develop and preserve MSME products which are "local wisdom" or regional characteristics products."I hope the local government collaborates with other agencies to preserve and develop this cual weaving, especially in terms of weaving regeneration," he said.Bangka Belitung Maslina's cual weaving craft is very happy President Joko Widodo's wife praised and appreciated the local weaving of the Sebalai Serumpuan Country."This cual tin has a fine fabric texture and this cual woven motif is very interesting, including ducks, fighting dragon, hong, Chinese fireworks, seroja, lotus, cempaka, elephants and Garuda motifs," he said.
