Shocked Birthday Party Of Toddlers, Black Bears Are Enjoying Cookies
JAKARTA - An unexpected guest appeared at a toddler's birthday party in Connecticut State, United States. It was a large black bear.
As the Majidian family celebrated their 2-year-old son's birthday earlier this month, the bear came out of the nearby forest and started storming the dessert table.
"Everyone in the backyard is partying," Rauf Majidian told the HLN's Weekly Express news channel, as reported by The National News Sept. 13.
"(We heard) the first loud noise, we all turned and there was a bear."
Meanwhile, Laura Majidian told CT Insider: "We are all mobilizing our energy to stay away from it, getting everyone into the house."
He added that adults who didn't have children with them also started making loud noises and screaming for the bear to "go".
But the bear, unaffected, continues to stroke the birthday cake casually.
"We even had a friend who honked their car horn, but it really just left after eating the cake part," he explained.
The family said they used to see bears occasionally in the early hours of the morning walking through their yard. However, they usually just pass by.
It is known, attacks of black bears are rare and animals tend to stay away from humans. However, sometimes the offer of sweet treats is an 'unsomanable' temptation.
The Connecticut bear population has increased in recent years, The Guardian reported, with more than 8,000 sightings reported this year to the wildlife division of the state's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
